Torrevieja – sun, salt, and... a little nighttime madness
Let's start with the facts:
- Over 100 nightclubs – yes, you read that right. You dance, you sip, you meet people from all over Europe. And then you walk back, because everything is within easy reach
- Promenade – long, well-kept, perfect for morning coffee or evening ice cream (because man does not live by wine alone)
- Fishing port – fresh fish, sunsets, and yachts that look like something out of a dream catalog
- And now the icing on the cake (or rather, the salt on the lagoon): two saltwater lagoons
Lago Rosa and Laguna de la Mata are the heart of this place – pink, blue, magical. And no, it’s not an Instagram filter – they really look like that. Their presence not only attracts photographers and flamingos 🦩, but also… creates a healthy microclimate. Seriously – people with respiratory problems come here for their well-being. And they often stay.
Torrevieja is located in the Valencian Community, about 40 minutes from Alicante, so it’s easy to get here, and then… you won’t want to leave
A place loved by Spaniards from the north and west. Why?
- 330 sunny days a year – that's more than a vacation in paradise
- Blue Flag beaches – wide, clean, with infrastructure that does not disappoint
- And the salt... – tons of salt! That's where it all started
- A cruise to the island of Tabarca – ships depart daily, and you feel like a pirate (or at least a well-tanned tourist)
- Murcia, Elche, Alicante, Cartagena – all within the range of a coffee and a refueling stop
- Golf courses – for those who like the ball, but prefer to roll it rather than kick it
Why Torrevieja?
Because the WHO says it’s the best place to live – and I believe them!
Okay, it may sound like something from an advertising brochure, but seriously – Torrevieja is one of the healthiest places to live in the world. At least that’s what the WHO says, and you know what? I agree with them. And you don’t have to be an expert from Esphouses to feel it for yourself
What is it about this place?
- Sun all year round – exactly 335 sunny days, so you can leave your umbrella at home
- Salt-saturated air – thanks to two salt lagoons in the heart of the city. They do the job! It's easy to breathe here, you wake up in the morning and... you just want to live
- A climate different from Alicante – warmer, drier, less capricious. And you know what? Your body will thank you for it
